AnyFont App Review
The iPad is a great device for creating, but where it does lack, is fonts. If you were to create a presentation or document, there’s only so many fonts that are available. Even if an app includes extra fonts, you still can’t use those in other apps. This is where AnyFont comes in.
Once you’ve found a font you like online, download it and email it to yourself. Then access the email attachment on your iPad and tap “Open in.. AnyFont”. Once your font has installed, you can then use it in apps like Pages, Keynote, and other text-based apps. It supports TrueType (.Ttf) and OpenType (.Otf) fonts, and it keeps a record of everything you’ve installed. If you want to remove an installed font, you can easily do so in the settings (General >> Profiles).
If you’re looking for a place to download fonts, your first port of call should be fontsquirrel.com. They’ve got a pretty decent selection of high quality fonts that you can download for free; there’s also DaFont.com that has an even larger selection.
For anyone who’s dissatisfied with the standard fonts on the iPad, AnyFont is an absolute must-have. However, it’s worth noting that in order to use the app, you’ll need to make sure your iPad is running iOS 7 or later.
