Sketchometry is a geometry app that converts quick hand-drawn sketches into precise shapes and lines. It’s compatible with every major platform, including apps for iOS and Android, and any device with a web browser (Windows, Mac, Linux etc.) at Sketchometry.org.
There’s a lot Sketchometry can do and therefore some aspects of the app can be confusing. It’s simple to draw basic shapes but in order to adjust angles and take measurements, you’ll need time to explore the app. For example, there are over 30 gestures that can be used, from moving circles to creating parallel lines. Luckily the Sketchometry website has a great documentation to help you — which could be printed out if neccessary.
Overall, Sketchometry is refreshingly feature-rich for a free app and is certainly something you should try out. The fact it works from any computer web browser makes it extremely versatile for the classroom.
